‘Pinch of Nom’ sells 1 million books in the UK

Seemingly an overnight sensation, the slimming-oriented recipe collection Pinch of Nom sells over 1 million copies of its various books in the UK.

The number is made up of combined sales of their debut title, Pinch of Nom: 100 Slimming Home-Style Recipes which published on March 21st 2019 (898,340 copies sold), and Pinch of Nom: Food Planner, which published on 13th June 2019 (104,106 copies sold).

This isn’t the first time that the Pinch of Nom brand has been in the news. In its first week of sales in March 2019, the title smashed records by selling 10,506 copies and becoming the fastest-selling non-fiction title ever, beating the single week sales record in the category by 45,044 books.

The Nielsen Bestseller Awards have presented Pinch of Nom founders, Kay Featherstone and Kate Allinson, with both Silver (250,000 copies sold) and Gold Bestseller Awards (500,000 copies sold) to celebrate the phenomenal sales achievement of their debut book.

Kay and Kate said:  “It’s going to take a long while for this to sink in! We’re overwhelmed and in awe of the response to both the Pinch of Nom book and the planner. We can’t thank those who have believed in us enough. It’s beyond belief!”

Publisher Carole Tonkinson from Bluebird said: “Working with Kay and Kate and the Pinch of Nom team has been a huge career highlight for me. Their cookbook has sold in every channel and seemingly to most UK households. Their delicious, healthy recipes have such a wide appeal: people looking for hearty family favourites, slimmers, people looking for simple dishes that are easy on the budget. Pinch of Nom has them all covered. We are thrilled to see Kay and Kate break another record in such a short time.”
